1944 Packers Contract
For those of our readers who have legal minds and love the “small print” details, today we have a standard player contract from 1944, the year the Packers won their final N.F.L. championship prior to the Lombardi Era. This was a contract offered to a player by the name of Ed J. McGroaraty. By the date, this must have been prior to training camp that August. In checking the roll of players who suited up for the Packers for official league games, Mr. McGroaraty did not make the squad that year, or any other year in Green Bay.
