Packers Escape a Wild One
Wow. The country wanted a good football game to celebrate the fact that football is back, and they got one. The Packers started hot and stayed hot until things got shaky in the third quarter. Did they really need to let the Saints back in the game? Did we really need to have it all come down to a New Orleans’ 79-yard hot-knife-through-butter drive down to the Packers’ 1-yard-line? And two shots at the end zone? But boy, how great it was to see the defense stiffen when it counted. A win is a win is a win, and now we have ten days before we get to see them play again. Enjoy the win and the fact that the entire country got to see what a great place Green Bay is — a great town and a great team.
