The Agony of Falling to 24th
The much ballyhooed America’s Game episode produced by N.F.L. Films premieres this week, and we’re told it’s a hum-dinger. The only problem is that a huge percentage of America’s homes will never see it, as the N.F.L.’s own network is as scarce as a three-dollar bill in most parts of the country. Stay in a hotel in Green Bay itself, and you’ll still find no N.F.L. Network in the television selection. For the rest of us, we’ll have to wait to purchase the DVD to see it. But the N.F.L. website has a few snippets of previews available, and we’re providing you with the link to check out the segment on Aaron Rodgers falling to pick #24 in the 2005 N.F.L. Draft.
A younger-looking Rodgers waits in puzzled frustration at the endless stream of teams picking other players pick after pick after pick.
Trying to figure out what in the world is going on.
“Are you kidding me?!”
He wanted to be picked by his boyhood local favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers, but that honor(?) went to Alex Smith of Utah. In the end, it worked out better for you to end up in Green Bay, Aaron. Now you have one of these. To watch this clip, please click here.
