2014 Training Camp — Part IV
It’s early Wednesday morning (July 30th) and the usual faithful are in line to grab a good seat in the Ray Nitschke Field stands.
The interns are busy setting up the field before any coaches or players arrive.
Once practice is underway, the offensive linemen get into their usual routine of banging into each other.
WR Jordy Nelson catches a pass during position drills.
RB DuJuan Harris pulls in a long one. Note the pads on the back of his thighs as well as front.
WR Jarrett Boykin snags a throw in the end zone.
RB James Starks loosens up the muscles.
WR Jared Abbrederis also makes a nice catch.
Some scrimmaging gets underway.
The defense makes a stop.
Kickoff drills with the special teams.
The No. 1 QB working with the No. 1 offense.
The starting defense, as of the last week of July.
Perfecting the QB-RB exchange.
Now THAT’s what we like to see.
G Josh Sitton gets some stretching help mid-practice.
Eliot Wolf and Ted Thompson watching practice together.
QB Aaron Rodgers fakes the handoff to RB Eddie Lacy and gets set to throw during a scrimmage.
Wouldn’t you like to listen in on this conversation between Rodgers, Nelson, and WR Randall Cobb? We’re going to guess that it has nothing to do with football.
Special teams punt blocking work.
Rodgers sits in the pocket and looks for an open receiver.
Lacy tries to keep a step ahead of the defense.
More work on the offense and defense hitting each other.
Rodgers listens intently to Head Coach Mike McCarthy.
Some tackling drills near the end of practice.
The weather all week was really perfect.
Fans head off to enjoy the rest of the day in the wonderful city of Green Bay.
