The Holmgren Era Lambeau
Here’s an image of Lambeau Field in the 1990’s — the Mike Holmgren era — when your Green Bay Packers returned to glory and won Super Bowl XXXI. After the referendum in September 2000, the process of renovation began in 2001 and culminated with the new Lambeau dedicated in 2003. Part of us misses the green metal exterior that we knew for so many years. At the left (North) end of the stadium was the two-story administration building that grew from humble beginnings in 1963. We have good memories of attending many football games in this era, including one stretch of 18 straight victories from 1994-1999. We love the new Lambeau and all it entails, but looking to the past is good, too, sometimes.
