Lombardi had a sometimes strained relationship with the media of the time, and seemed to favor members of the press from the larger cities, especially New York. But in time, he recognized the talents of some of those who covered the team in the state of Wisconsin. We wish a lot of these press conferences had been filmed or taped for posterity.
