Vikings at Packers — Part II

We’re back with the second gallery from last Sunday’s game vs. Minnesota at Lambeau Field. Above, QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) looks for an open receiver.

WR Davante Adams (#17) cannot hold onto a pass thrown in his direction.

P J.K. Scott (#6) gets off another good one.

The Packers’ defense awaits the enemy’s offense.

A Vikings’ ballcarrier is stopped, while two Green Bay defenders take each other out in the foreground.

As we stated in Part I, it was a hot day in Green Bay, and the crowd got a good early Fall sunburn.

The cheer squads — made up of students from local colleges — provide some spirit on the sidelines.

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) goes to the turf after scrambling for a first down.

During a T.V. timeout, offensive players and coaches discuss strategy.

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) receives adequate protection in the pocket.

K Mason Crosby (#2) makes a field goal on the south end.

Packers’ CEO Mark Murphy (standing with yellow tie), usually occupies this booth with the GM and others.

The offensive huddle.

LB Korey Toomer (#56) and S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (#21) chase Vikings’ RB Calvin Cook (#33).

Minnesota LB Anthony Barr (#55) and QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) get in each other’s face during a timeout. It was Barr who ended Rodgers’ 2017 season with a broken collarbone.

When you’re the QB, that’s a lot of open ground to cover if you’re going to score some points.

Perhaps the best part of the game was the halftime ceremony in which newly-enshrined Pro Football Hall of Fame member Jerry Kramer was presented with his HOF ring. It is an honor that is long overdue.

Also unveiled was Kramer’s name up on the Lambeau Field façade, now forever on display with the names of all the other former Green Bay Packers enshrined in Canton, Ohio.

There’s a lot going on in this tight vertical shot.

The kickoff team getting some last-minute instructions.

DL Kenny Clark (#97) and LB Clay Matthews (#52) have Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins on the run.

When the Packers have the ball, we like to see this.

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) runs to try and reach the first down marker. His nemesis (LB Anthony Barr) chases him.

Minnesota Head Coach Mike Zimmer (in sunglasses) watches his team on defense.

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) takes the shotgun snap while everybody shifts right.

DL Kenny Clark (#97) almost intercepts this Kirk Cousins pass.

QB Kirk Cousins (#8) gets an off-balance throw downfield regardless.

Zebra conference.

Vikings’ K Dan Carlson (#7) misses his third field goal of the game — all wide right.

This is the second time in five years that we have witnessed a Packers-Vikings tie in person. Believe us when we say that ties are very underwhelming.

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) makes his way towards the tunnel after speaking with some reporters at the end of the game.

The disappointed crowd files out of Lambeau Field. Well, at least it wasn’t a loss.
