Some Vintage Game Programs

Fresh off the mind-numbing frustration of the tie with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, here is a game program cover from the October 26, 1930 game between the Green Bay Packers and another Minneapolis team, the Redjackets. The game was played at City Stadium in Green Bay, and the Packers were victorious, by a score of 19-0. You can bid on this item here.

This something that we’ve never seen before... a game program from a 1934 preseason game vs. the Fort Atkinson (Wis.) Blackhawks. The game was played at City Stadium in Green Bay, and the Packers triumphed, 28-7. You can bid on this item here.

Lastly, this is the game program cover from QB Bart Starr’s first career start — against the San Francisco 49ers on November 18, 1956. This game was also played at City Stadium in Green Bay, and the Packers lost that day by one point, 17-16. According to the auction listing, “(This was) Bart Starr's seventh career game and first career start in which he threw his first career touchdown pass, a 39-yard strike to Bill Howton.” You can bid on this item here.
