Tuesday Practice

Tuesday morning dawned cloudy and cool, with later periods of sun. Still, it’s a far cry from some summer Training Camps of the past which usually featured sweltering heat. But we’ll take it. Here, the Packers’ staff of interns begin to set up the field for the 8:20 a.m. practice time.

The film staff get ready to document everything to be dissected in team meetings later that day and evening.

Players milling around before it’s time to start stretching and preparing for work.

Some more pre-practice special teams work with the punting units.

TE Jermichael Finley and QB Aaron Rodgers sure are excited to be back in camp.

Finley doing some warming up of his own.

The official, mandatory team stretching time.

Rodgers starts with some throwing.

Rodgers and his fellow QB’s are seen in their own positional drills.

Rodgers hands off to WR Randall Cobb out of the backfield during some scrimmaging.

Rookie RB Eddie Lacy goes for a stroll around the left side.

QB Graham Harrell works behind center.

Rodgers and the first team offense huddle up for the next play.

Rodgers dons a generic red jersey and plays LB while the other QB’s take their turns with the offense.

QB B.J. Coleman up close and personal.

Have you ever gotten “THE LOOK” from C Evan Dietrich-Smith?

Linemen gathered near the Ray Nitschke Field grandstands for some of their drills amongst themselves.

There was more of the TE’s vs. LB’s and the giant mats today as well.

Injured CB Tramon Williams (knee) gets some enjoyment out of practice.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy (left) and DC Dom Capers (middle) talk to one of their assistants.

Rodgers working in a later scrimmage situation.

Here is your 2013 No. 1 draft pick Datone Jones.

Some kick-off work.

G T.J. Lang works against a teammate.

T Derek Sherrod has had two surgeries on his broken leg since 2011. Check out that scar.

Offensive linemen beating on each other.

A capacity crowd was again in the stands on Tuesday.

Seven-on-seven drills feature the QB and his receivers against the LB’s and secondary.

Things get interesting when the offensive and defensive linemen square off against each other. It’s a kind of “manhood” test.

Datone Jones gets blocked by an unidentified lineman, possibly G T.J. Lang.

LB Nate Palmer does a textbook demonstration of the phrase “take a knee.”

Watching the OL-DL battles are DE C.J. Wilson (#98), DE Mike Daniels (#76), DT Ryan Pickett (#79), and Johnny Jolly (#97).

Even the QB rated as tops in the NFL still needs to listen to coaches and perform repetitive drills in Training Camp. And Harrell too.

RB DuJuan Harris has been injured and held out of practices so far.

RB James Starks gains yardage in Red Zone drills late in practice.

Practice is over and everyone gathers around McCarthy. Practice is at 8:20 a.m. again on Wednesday.
