Tuesday Afternoon Practice

Tuesday’s practice was very hot, especially for those of us that waited for hours to get our usual preferred top row spot. A lot of fans wilted and left before practice was even half done, but some of us die-hards were dumb enough to sit there for the full two hours. Here, a lot of cheering from the field gate area means that LB Clay Matthews (#52) has arrived.

S Charles Woodson (#21) waits for the stretching period to begin. He is usually at the forefront of his defensive brothers.

QB’s Graham Harrell (#6) and Aaron Rodgers (#12) work on some drills.

The defense at work.

T Herb Taylor (#72) and T Bryan Bulaga (#75) work on blocking technique.

The secondary works on dropping back into coverage and then turning for the interception.

Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers stands among his linebackers and offers his instructions.

The secondary does a drill where they actually wrap their arms around a ball carrier to tackle them(!) — onto large padded mats.

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) and the number one offense do a bit of scrimmaging.

Rodgers dropping back for the hand-off.

WR Randall Cobb (#18) takes the ball on a reverse play.

Rodgers takes a break in the heat.

QB Graham Harrell (#6) takes his turn. He and QB B.J. Coleman got a lot of work in today for their upcoming game at San Diego on Thursday. They will play the majority of that game.

Chatting on the sideline while the third-stringers are in.

TE Jermichael Finley (#88) works on his own, making catches after batting the dummy out of the way.

Stay hydrated everyone, it’s HOT!

More offensive line work.

In between team drills, the QB’s break off for some individual work.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy (left) and GM Ted Thompson (right) talk with another team official.

Rodgers and the offense get instructions for the next play.

Rodgers at work on this hot afternoon.

WR James Jones (#89) reaches for the end zone pylon against LB Terrell Manning (#56).

Is WR Donald Driver (#80) at his last Training Camp?

During a punt drill, the “opponents” wear red helmet coverings so they can see who blocked correctly on the film later.

A three-receivers conference: WR Jordy Nelson (#87), James Jones (#89), and Donald Driver (#80).

QB Graham Harrell (#6) preparing himself for San Diego action.

Coach McCarthy listens in on the play calling in the huddle.

QB B.J. Coleman (#9) winds up running for a TD on this play.

RB Alex Green (#20) gets in some running action.

Practice ended after two hours in the heat, and McCarthy talks to his team at the end (in white hat in the middle).

For an unknown reason, there were push-ups after practice for several.

Our last look at the practice field for Training Camp 2012.

The stands empty and there is no more practice until Saturday. We hope you’ve enjoyed our photos from Green Bay.
