The Packers’ website had this photo in a collection of images from the 25th anniversary of QB Brett Favre’s first regular season game at Lambeau Field. It was Sept. 20, 1992, when Favre relieved an injured Don Majkowski in the first quarter of a game against the Cincinnati Bengals and led the Packers to a 24-23 victory after they started the season 0-2. Favre threw the game-winning touchdown pass to little-known receiver Kitrick Taylor with 13 seconds remaining.
Anyway, this photo of the Lambeau Field scoreboard on that day shows us how dramatically it and all scoreboards in the NFL have changed in the last 25 years. That “Touchdown” graphic has been replaced with today’s marvelous HD graphics.
