During a Fall 1962 home game, most likely the Baltimore Colts game, defensive lineman Dave “Hog” Hanner was honored with “Dave Hanner Day” before the event. Hanner played for the Packers from 1952 to 1964, and later served as both coach and scout for the organization for a total of 42 years of service. He died from a heart attack this past September 11th at the age of 78. He is a member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
