Bears at Packers

It’s time for some images from last Sunday night’s Bears vs. Packers game — the 2018 season-opener. We were up for the whole weekend, but we’ll stick to just game-day here, except for the photo above, which was taken on Saturday afternoon outside Lambeau Field. We had never seen this particular fan vehicle before... so kudos to them for originality.

Here we are walking to the stadium on Sunday afternoon (it was a 7:20 p.m. start). There is a definite “buzz” around Lambeau Field on the day of a home game.

We wanted to re-hang this banner for them.

O.K., that’s enough of the “firsts”... but here is the defense lining up to try and keep the Bears from scoring.

The Bears are knocking on the door of the north end zone. This would be a game not of who scored first, but who scored last.

And then it happened. QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) goes down with a knee injury in the first quarter. The uneasy (and frankly, queasy) crowd was thinking, “In the first quarter of the first game? Is this happening?

QB Aaron Rodgers (#12) walks off the field with the medical staff. For the rest of the half, there was no word on the injury, his condition, or the prospects of his return — to the game or for the rest of the season.
