Obscure Packers: Part 45

William "Red" Mack (above with RB Jim Taylor), from Oconto, Wisconsin, was a wide receiver and halfback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Green Bay Packers. As Packer he played in Super Bowl I on January 15, 1967, and made two tackles. He played in eight games in 1996, his only season in Green Bay. Afterwards, he no longer played in the N.F.L.

Mack was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 10th round (131st overall) of the 1961 NFL Draft. He was also drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 23rd round (179th overall) of 1961 American Football League Draft. He played college football at the University of Notre Dame.
