West Coast Bound

[NEW LINKS IN “NEWS” SECTION BELOW]
This weekend, the Packers head to the West coast and Qualcomm Stadium, the site of their Super Bowl XXXII loss — a forever sore point for all Green Bay fans. But times are happy right now, as they haven’t lost a game in 320 days. Yes, you read that right. So, after getting through last weekend with no football, we’ve got all the pre-game coverage you’ve come to expect here in Packerville, U.S.A.

The official N.F.L. game preview can be seen here.

Coach Mike McCarthy’s Friday press conference can be viewed here.

Here is this week’s Playbook: Packers vs. Chargers.

If you live in the massive blue area of the country, you will see the game. Live in the red, green, or gray areas? Nope. See the color chart for your game.

The N.F.L.’s weather report for the game this Sunday is here.

A video segment with James Starks on the N.F.L. Network can be seen here.

SInce the end of Training Camp, the Packers’ practices are closed to the public. Here is a photo that they posted via Twitter of practice this past Wednesday. Note the green tarp that they hang on the fence surrounding the field for privacy and secrecy. Lambeau Field sits majestically in the background.

NEW PHOTOS FROM TWITTER:
The Packers send out great Tweets with information we love — like telling us when they land in the city they’re playing in, etc. This is an image from Saturday afternoon, when they were boarding the buses in San Diego for the trip to their hotel.

These two photos are from the “Packers Everywhere” fan event in San Diego on Saturday evening. Above, former RB John Brockington signs autographs for the fans in attendance.

Here, Packers’ president Mark Murphy greets the multitudes — Packer fans who live in California, and fans who traveled West for the Chargers game.

Here is a field view supplied by the Packers early Sunday afternoon as preparations are underway.

And here is the Sunday afternoon press box view from Qualcomm Stadium as well. GO PACK GO!
