The Big Day/A Bit of Tom Moore

Today is a big day in the life of Packers’ season ticket holders. The envelope with the 2010 game tickets arrived in the mail! For those of us who have the “Gold Package” (former ticket holders in Milwaukee), the games are Cleveland in the preseason, Detroit (home game #2), and Dallas again in November (third year in a row!). Now, if they decide to add seats in the South end zone (as is being discussed), those of us under #3,000 on the “Green Package” waiting list would be sitting pretty. All in due time, my friends. Anyway, we thought maybe some of you out there would enjoy seeing what you would receive if you were a ticket holder.

Now, our 1962 “Salute to the Packers” entry for today features halfback Tom Moore (#25). In the photo above, we see him entering the end zone for a Green Bay touchdown to the delight of those along the sideline.

The article text for Moore is only on the single page seen above. The next time you’re in town, be sure to stay at the Packer City Motel. It’s still there as far as we know (see below).

The end of the short feature has this nice full spread photo of Moore hitting the hole for some great yardage.

And lastly, here are some more places of business that you might support while in town for a game back in those days. One of them seems to be endorsed by Paul Hornung.
